💃 About Lessons & Choreography
Each lesson runs for 1 hour. That gives us enough time to warm up, learn steps at your pace, and go over your routine without feeling rushed. If you ever need extra practice or a longer session closer to your wedding, we can arrange that too.
Most couples take 4 to 6 lessons to feel confident. It depends on your goals, the song you’ve chosen, and how comfortable you feel moving together. Some want something quick and simple, others prefer a full routine. We’ll guide you and make sure it suits your timeline and comfort level.
Yes — and we recommend it! Your first dance should feel personal, and that starts with music. You can choose any song, and we’ll choreograph a routine that fits the rhythm, energy, and mood of the track. We also help with suggestions if you’re undecided.
No experience is needed. Almost all our couples are total beginners when they arrive. We teach everything from the ground up, in a way that’s simple, clear, and made to feel good. You’ll be surprised how quickly it all comes together.
Yes! We love working with mashups, surprise moments, and custom choreography. If you’ve got a special song mix or want to combine styles, just send us your music and vision. We’ll build a routine that works with the tempo changes and makes it flow smoothly.
Yes, if it’s something you’re both keen on and physically comfortable with, we can teach you how to do dips, spins, or simple lifts safely. We’ll guide you step-by-step and make sure it fits your dance style and abilities.
Yes, in fact we recommend practising in your wedding shoes (or similar) for at least the last session. Some brides also bring a similar-length skirt or rehearsal dress to get used to moving in it. It’s a great way to prepare for how it will feel on the day.
Not at all. While most couples come for first dance lessons, we also teach parent dances, bridal party group dances, flashmobs, reception routines and more. If your wedding includes a performance or fun surprise, we’re here to help you learn it with confidence.
Yes, we offer group lessons for bridal parties, friends, or family groups. These are fun, high-energy sessions where you can rehearse a coordinated routine or just enjoy learning something together. Group sessions can be booked separately or as an add-on to your private couple’s package.
No — not unless you want us to. We don’t record lessons by default, but some couples like to take a video on their phone so they can practise at home. You’re welcome to record short clips or ask your instructor to film you once you’re ready.
📅 Bookings, Planning & Logistics
Booking is simple. You can contact us through our website, call, or email. We’ll ask for your wedding date, song (if chosen), availability, and a few basic details. Then we’ll match you with an instructor and confirm your first session.
We suggest starting 6–8 weeks before your wedding. That gives you time to learn without rushing, and space to practise and relax between sessions. If your date is sooner, we’ll tailor lessons to fit the time you have left.
Yes. We offer flexible times including evenings and weekends to suit your work schedule or other commitments. Let us know what days and times work best — we’ll do our best to match you with availability that fits.
We understand things come up. Just let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we’ll reschedule your session with no fuss. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee depending on your package terms.
Both. You can start with a single lesson or book a discounted multi-lesson package if you’re planning to build a full routine. Packages can also include group rehearsals, mashup choreography, or extended sessions.
Payment can be made online or in person. We accept credit card, bank transfer, and contactless methods. Packages must be paid upfront or in agreed instalments depending on the offer. You’ll get a confirmation and receipt each time.
In some cases, yes. We primarily teach in our Sydney studio, but if you require mobile lessons or onsite rehearsals (e.g. at your venue), let us know. Additional travel fees may apply depending on location and timing.
No stress! We can adapt your routine to a new song or completely change direction if needed. Just let your instructor know as soon as possible so we can revise the choreography and keep your sessions productive and fun.
Yes — our lesson packages make a great gift for newly engaged couples. Gift cards are available in custom amounts and can be used for any of our private or group sessions. Contact us to organise one.
Of course. You’re welcome to book a single trial session before committing to a package. It’s a great way to meet your instructor, check out the space, and see if it feels like a good fit for your wedding plans.
